SD Insurance Brokers was born off the back of a successful finance brokerage business which has been operating since 1996 known as SD Loans and Leasing to provide customers the one stop shop experience for their business in a world that is time poor. The business is committed to old fashioned service and advice which has helped the company expand into the general insurance market and become one of Australia’s most trusted General Insurance Brokers. Having the existing relationship and knowing our clients business extensively provides hassle free and efficient service for clients. SD Loans, Leasing & Insurance Brokers are part of a larger Group known as SD Group of Companies that provide a wholistic service offering to their valued clients.

Our Markets

SD Insurance Brokers source policies from all major Australian insurers, as well as selected international security to ensure you have the right cover. Our market access is as broad as our experience in any number of specialised insurance markets.

The business has staff in Cairns, Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast. Our General Insurance specialist Megan Laurie has been working in the broking industry for 20 years and knows the market well. Megan has worked for insurance companies and insurance broking. Megan manages this division of the business and is supported by another highly experienced General Insurance Broker in Sue Peoples and additional support staff Courtney Walter.

Collectively they are hands on with clients in their chosen profession of General Insurance. Megan and Sue have a combined insurance experience of over 45 years.

We are members of professional bodies such as, the National Insurance Brokers Association of Australia (NIBA), Steadfast and ANZIIF which represents our commitment to professionalism, our adherence to its Code of Conduct and the Insurance Brokers Code of Practice.
